Dairy producer Riverina Fresh is using Rayven’s real-time AI and IoT platform to support the adoption of a predictive and preventative maintenance regime for its key machinery.
Riverina Fresh’s adoption of Rayven’s platform as part of a predictive maintenance program has resulted in increased uptime, output, and utilisation.
“We were introduced to Rayven by Bridge Hub, the agrifood tech innovation hub. We collaborated with Rayven to help develop their product for some of our older equipment, bringing it into the 21st century,” said Riverina Fresh CEO Rob Collier.
“This was achieved for a relatively low cost and without the need to replace existing equipment. This is an example of modernising a manufacturing business without having to outlay significant capital expenditure.”
Riverina Fresh’s older equipment did not support real-time oversight and optimisation, but engineering management realised production could be improved if real-time data and new efficiency metrics were available.
The company selected Rayven’s IoT platform due to its ability to integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, as well as its customisable real-time calculations and dashboards.
The results included increased run-time and throughput, and Riverina Fresh sees opportunities for additional gains from improved changeover between products and reduced downtime.
“Improving uptime, productivity and reducing waste is a key goal within agribusiness and food production,” explained Collier.
“A lot of businesses are operating with old, outdated technology that needs modernising and we wanted to explore what IoT technology could do to help us with our digital transformation.”
