Scenario 1.

We start with the collection of temperature data via a MQTT node connected to a temperature sensor.

Then comes the Rule Builder node, which we use to define multi-step logic. Users can easily set up conditions such as IF, AND, OR, and ELSE to process the data, with the ability to perform actions on fields, utilise field modifiers, look up custom table values, apply a range of operators, and output multiple variables. The Rule Builder node also generates a sample JavaScript, providing an additional layer of transparency and control for advanced users who wish to review or fine-tune the logic.

Upon configuring the rules, the workflow branches out to deliver notifications through multiple channels: an Email node for email alerts, a SMS node for text message alerts, and an API node to integrate with third-party software.

Scenario 2.

Again, we start with data acquisition from a temperature sensor via an MQTT node.

Next comes a Formula node which adds a layer of customisation and flexibility, allowing for the application of pre-defined or custom formulas to the temperature data. This capability ensures that the data can be tailored to meet specific analysis requirements.

Following the Formula node, the workflow transitions to a Gauge Visualization node, which provides an intuitive and immediate representation of the processed temperature data. This visualization can then be added to dashboards within solutions.

Parallel to the visualization path, the workflow also incorporates a JavaScript node, enabling further data manipulation through custom or pre-built scripts. This allows for a wide range of data processing possibilities, from simple calculations to complex logic.

The workflow culminates in the connection to an Email node, which automates the dispatch of email notifications based on the outcomes of the JavaScript processing.
