How our Modbus integration works.

Connecting bidirectional Modbus data streams + exerting control via PLCs using Rayven is incredibly simple and only involves a few short steps to ensure a seamless, secure integration with your platform:

1. Select the Modus Node.

Drag-and-drop it onto the Rayven workspace from the nodes list and name it.

2. Configure.

  • Update Rate: define how often you want to call the data (in minutes).
  • Field Name: enter the name for the field where you want to store this data.
  • Enter the Modbus Field Type (e.g. Holding Register).
  • Enter the Modbus Field Address
  • Enter the Slave ID for the specific PLC.

3. Grouping by Device Label (optional).

You can set how data should be grouped via easy-to-add device labels.

4. Security (optional).

Set-up SSL/TLS encryption for the data transfer as required.
