How our Modbus integration works.

Connecting bidirectional Modbus data streams + exerting control via PLCs using Rayven is incredibly simple and only involves a few short steps to ensure a seamless, secure integration with your platform:

1. Select the Modus Node.

Drag-and-drop it onto the Rayven workspace from the nodes list and name it.

2. Configure.

Update Rate: define how often you want to call the data (in minutes).
Field Name: enter the name for the field where you want to store this data.
Enter the Modbus Field Type (e.g. Holding Register).
Enter the Modbus Field Address
Enter the Slave ID for the specific PLC.

3. Grouping by Device Label (optional).

You can set how data should be grouped via easy-to-add device labels.

4. Security (optional).

Set-up SSL/TLS encryption for the data transfer as required.
