Creating automations and controlling machinery is about putting the correct nodes together in our platform's Workflow Builder using its drag-and-drop interface. Our platform makes it easy for you to create workflows that automate tasks and/or adapt actions based on changing conditions by configuring nodes an pushing commands where they need to go.

Step 1: Logic-based automation.

Rule-Builder-ScreenshotOur platform enables you to implement complex, logic-based rules within workflows, allowing you to create automatic control actions based on specific conditions or sensor data. This is a key feature for achieving sophisticated automation and control scenarios.

Rule Builder Node: add a 'Rule Builder' node (found under 'Function Nodes') to put in place logic that changes actions based on real-time data. Rayven supports different types of logic, including:

  • Conditional Logic: 'IF THIS, THEN THAT' rules that automatically triggers action(s) when conditions are met.
  • Dynamic Process Adjustments: adjust processes dynamically based on changing real-time data.
  • Cross-Device Workflows: the logic incorporates data + actions across multiple devices and systems.

Machine Learning Node: this node enables you to deploy algorithms you've created (tested + trained) within our platform's Machine Learning Studio so that you can create logic that acts based on what the algorithm sees in your real-time data, creating a feedback loop that optimises outputs based on ever-improving forecasts.

Step 2: Action.

Direct the desired outcome using Control + Output nodes. Combining these capabilities enables you to automate complex processes and create a self-optimisation loop, helping you to improve efficiency, minimise downtime, optimise resource use, improve safety, and more, automatically.

  • Button Node: swap between two value states using a button or switch, e.g. ON/OFF.
  • Scheduler Node: create events like start and end time.
  • Multi-Choice Node: create a dropdown that actions one of a number of set choices.
  • Data Entry Node: enter a value and have it appear on a dashboard or within a JSON payload.

Output Nodes: push data into a 3rd party system to share data or instruct machinery (based on set-up).

  • Third-party System Integration: push data into third-party systems or directly instruct machinery based on predefined setups.
    Messaging: use email or the SMS node to trigger an alert.
  • Protocol: control machines and trigger actions using a data protocol node, including:
    • API Output
    • FTP Output
    • HTTP Output
    • Modbus Output
    • MQTT Output.
