SAP is brilliant at what it does. Useless at everything else your data + AI needs to touch.
SAP Business One holds the production order and BOM, but shop-floor reality is thin - machine downtime is entered by hand, OEE is a periodic add-on report, and AI has no live production view across the plant.
The integration tool you've already tried probably can't fix it.
App-to-app. Useful, until it isn't.
Connectors for SAP, Slack + a thousand other cloud apps. Cheap + fast for the easy half of integration. Where they hit a wall:
- MES and execution systems that need B1 production-order, BOM and OEE data against the run
- SCADA, PLCs and machine controls whose signals should build OEE on the production order
- Non-SAP systems and historians that need the production and OEE record in real-time
- Data warehouses and AI agents needing live production, downtime and OEE signals per line
MES, ERP, SCADA, machines + AI. One platform.
The integration platform built for what other tools can't (or won't) reach - plus an AI data fabric, MCP server + app builder layered on top.
- SAP + every MES, ERP and SCADA system
- MES, ERP, PLCs, SCADA, IoT sensors + custom-built connectors.
- Files, legacy SQL, FTP + custom-built connectors
- Real-time bidirectional sync, tier-aware + rate-limit-safe
- AI Data Fabric, MCP, automation + custom apps included
SAP + Rayven: AI, automation + tools that reach every system you run.
5 examples of what Rayven customers run on SAP + integrated systems. Built in weeks, not months.
Machine data builds OEE on the order
Counts, states and downtime from SCADA and machine controls tie to the active B1 production order, so OEE and completion build from live machine data rather than manual issue-for-production entry.
Production orders reach the floor
Production orders, BOMs and issue-for-production flow into your MES, so execution runs the live order and completions post back to B1 with the OEE record attached.
Downtime raises the work order
Machine downtime against the production order opens a job in your CMMS, so maintenance targets the stoppages that delay the B1 schedule instead of reacting late.
Production data, AI-ready
Every production order, BOM issue and downtime event streams into Rayven's Industrial AI Data Fabric. AI agents query live OEE and throughput, and flag where orders fall behind.
Production on one board
Production-order progress and line OEE roll up into cross-line dashboards, so operations tracks the schedule and its losses on one definition rather than in the B1 screens.
Integration is the start with Rayven.
Here's what comes with it.
Rayven isn't just a SAP connector. It's the operational software platform underneath - so once SAP is connected, four more capabilities come online by default.
AI-ready data layer (AI Data Fabric)
SAP data joined with ERP, IoT + legacy - contextualised, unified and structured so AI models, agents and tools can use it without ETL prep work.

Live AI access (Rayven MCP)
Claude, ChatGPT + Gemini get live, governed access to SAP and every other connected system. Your AI stops guessing - cites real SAP records + numbers.

Automation + AI agents
Workflows + AI agents act on SAP data without human intervention - escalate at-risk accounts, trigger operational work, auto-update forecasts, draft customer comms.

Custom apps + portals
Unified customer portals, ops dashboards, mobile field apps, partner portals - built on top of integrated SAP data. No separate BI tool, no separate dev stack.

All on top of your existing stack. No rip + replace. SAP stays SAP. Rayven works on what you've already built. Specifically tuned for SAP Business One Service Layer production orders with a machine bridge for OEE.
Rayven is a five-layer platform ALL your integrations + much more
can run on.
Integration is one layer of Rayven. Data, execution, presentation + governance are the other four - all delivered as one platform on one commercial.
Pick the right tool for your stack.
SAP integration looks different at every scale. Honest comparison of the four common paths - Rayven only wins on some of them.
The integration is the easy bit.
The platform + team behind it is the difference.
Platform + team. One commercial.
Not five vendors stitched together. Rayven is the platform AND the Australia-based expert team that scopes, builds + supports it. One commercial. No licence stacking, no finger-pointing.
Built for SAP Business One's production model.
Rayven uses SAP Business One's Service Layer and DI API for production-order, BOM and OEE data, and bridges [SCADA](/solutions/data-integration-platform/scada-integration) machine signals onto the order. Real-time production and OEE sync lands the record in MES, ERP and AI, distinct from the SAP ERP page, with Rayven never touching the line.
We stay after go-live.
No handoff. No disappearing. Rayven is a long-term partner when your SAP evolves, your stack changes, or you push further. 24/7 support. Same team, same platform, same commercial.
Hosted your way, where you need.
Deploy as cloud, private cloud + on-premise - in Australia, the US, the UK, or anywhere else your SAP data needs to live. Your residency, your rules, your local compliance environment.
The questions SAP admins, RevOps + IT ask first.

What is SAP Business One production integration?
SAP Business One production integration is the practice of connecting the B1 production module to the rest of your operation - MES, SCADA, ERP and AI - so production and OEE data are visible everywhere they matter. Rayven delivers it as part of an Industrial AI Data Fabric, not a single-purpose connector.
How is this different from a SAP ERP integration?
This page covers SAP Business One's production and OEE data - production orders, BOMs and machine effectiveness for smaller manufacturers. The wider SAP finance and planning backbone is the ERP integration. SAP Business One is a distinct SAP product; Rayven keeps its production copy and data separate from the SAP ERP and quality pages.
How does Rayven connect SAP Business One to other systems?
Rayven uses SAP Business One's Service Layer and DI API for real-time sync of production-order, BOM and OEE data, and bridges SCADA and machine signals onto the order. Orders, BOM issues and downtime all flow as first-class integration events. See the Rayven Platform for how the layers fit together.
Does Rayven replace or control our machines?
No. Rayven reads production and OEE data and sits alongside SAP Business One; it never controls, replaces or writes to the machines or the line. B1 keeps holding the production order, while Rayven lifts production and OEE into an Industrial AI Data Fabric and connects it to MES, SCADA and AI. Read more in how Rayven works.
How long does SAP Business One production integration take with Rayven?
Most SAP Business One production integrations go live in 2-12 weeks. A single B1-to-MES or B1-to-CMMS flow runs in 2-4 weeks; a full performance fabric with SCADA and AI runs 6-12 weeks. Choose DIY, done-for-you or hybrid delivery.
Why does Rayven add value on top of the SAP Business One production module?
SAP Business One holds the production order and BOM. Rayven adds the shop-floor performance layer: tying machine downtime to the order, building live OEE and carrying it to the MES, SCADA record and AI. Rayven complements SAP Business One. See the Rayven Platform.
What are the technical specifics of SAP Business One integration with Rayven?
Rayven uses SAP Business One's Service Layer, which exposes OData v4 endpoints, and the DI API via session and basic authentication for real-time sync of production-order, BOM and OEE data. Because B1 is a distinct SAP product from S/4HANA and ECC, Rayven maps its production data separately so this OEE page never overlaps the SAP ERP or quality pages. Machine downtime is added by bridging SCADA, PLC and machine-control signals onto the production order so OEE builds without manual issue-for-production entry. Production orders, BOM issues, completions, downtime and OEE are preserved with field-level mapping into MES and execution targets. Service Layer session handling and rate limits are managed through batching, queuing and back-pressure. Rayven reads and contextualises the data and sits alongside SAP Business One; it never controls or writes to the machines or the line. Validated against SAP Business One on SQL and SAP HANA with an external machine bridge joining the record.
